Why Indeed!
My friends point out to me that I am already juggling two careers and squeezing in a personal life . So why did I ADD even more into my busy lifestyle?
I wrote Inside the Mind of A Jewelry Designer to tell my story.. the journey I have been on these last few years… and hopefully to influence at least one person to find their own passion in life.

If someone had told me 20 years ago that I would be obsessed with designing jewelry I would have bet the recent winning lottery ticket that they were wrong! That is just how certain I was that I am NOT creative and most certainly not destined to be an artist. But guess what? I was wrong.
My journey through this amazing decade is something worth sharing

Writing the book was an unexpected emotional experience. Many of you are already aware that I pour my heart and very essence into my designs. The act of putting my thoughts down on paper for all to read felt a little like standing naked in front of a crowd. It was terrifying knowing that these thoughts (many that I had never brought to the surface) would now be shared with the universe.
OK, I know I am being a little dramatic here. But the truth is I have opened myself up as I have not done before. What an exhilarating roller coaster ride!
I encourage everyone to take this journey and write down their personal story. Dig Deep! You don’t have to publish it of course. Just the process of writing our thoughts is a powerful, enlivening and inspiring journey.
Did you know that by writing down our thoughts, desires and dreams we tap into both hemispheres of the brain!

My book is available on Amazon
I would love to hear your feedback if you purchase and read the book.
Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites I
stumbleupon every day. It’s always interesting to read articles from other writers and practice something from their sites.
Thanks Kiara. Appreciate your comments
Heya excellent blog! Does running a blog similar to this take a
great deal of work? I have very little understanding of programming but I had
been hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, should you have any recommendations or techniques for
new blog owners please share. I understand this is off
subject but I just had to ask. Kudos!
thanks for the email. I use wordpress and while there is a learning curve.. it is pretty easy to work with. Good luck with your blog efforts. I have met so many wonderful people since starting this blog.

Great story and sharing Alene, thank you. I too have been encourage to write a book but have yet to get it done. However, I did add a very short version of it in an anthology book – 365 Moments of Grace. I am inspired by your ‘making it happen’ attitude. The more we open ourselves up, the more we can give…..and receive. .
Thanks Teresa. I encourage you to take the leap and write the book. I know you have valuable insights to share with others
Sharing your story with strangers takes a lot of courage. As someone who started her career writing and continues to do so regularly (some for publishing, some for my eyes only), I can attest to its ability to enhance your life, by gaining a better understanding of yourself, your goals, your fears and your abilities. Love that you are encouraging others to tell their story, Alene.
Thanks for sharing your story, Alene. I love your shirt, too:-) Many people I know that are in seemingly different businesses are or have recently written books! Kudos to you for following your heart and using your creativity in this way.
Alene I am so happy you have a book, Generally we say that a book today is like a calling card, but your beautiful jewelry is your calling card. I understand how writing a book can change how you see yourself, your life and your business. I’m sharing with my artist friends!
thanks so much Candess. Appreciate it
I hadn’t even thought of the… you are a jewelry designer, why would you write a book… you are a wonderful business owner, a powerful woman, a creator and a woman with plenty of stories… there is always room for a book in that. Great read

Congratulations on your book! I could not agree with you more – it is so important to share our stories, both for ourselves and for others. I look forward to reading your book!
How wonderful that you have written a book about inside the mind of a jewelry designer. While we can appreciate the beauty of a creation, we nothing of the creativity behind it. Thank you for opening a window for us into your jewelry mind.
Congratulations on your book. Isn’t it funny how life’s little turns cause a chain reaction. I’m glad you’re so happy with the road you chose. Thanks for sharing.
