Recently I added this category to my site. It seems that the most asked question I get is.. What’s New?. Each of us wants to see the latest and greatest available dont we? I do this myself when I shop. I want to informed of new stuff. It’s human nature. With that in mind I created What’s New to highlight the designs I just completed. My designs are all one of a kind, making this idea even more useful. What if you missed seeing something that you would LOVE to wear. With one simple click you are there!

New Gemstones catch my eye constantly. of course I have to purchase them! The next step is deciding upon the design that best captures the beauty of the gemstone. This is an ongoing process for me. Often I spend several hours in the design process. I have the gemstone. Do I want to complement it with another gem? which gem? a gem that blends with the color combination? or a gem that contrasts with the color scheme. Once this is chosen, then I want to create the metal to enhance the design. do I use a simple bevel, a fancy bezel, or a combination of both? Do I incorporate my Dare to Dream process, This involves adding random fine silver components to the base . It is one way to create the one of a kind concept, turning it into an heirloom piece.

Is the gem a stand-alone?

Does the gem need a complement? Often the larger gems are already one of a kind and don’t need more glitz to make them unique. Lately I have accumulated a few heart shaped gems. The shape and beauty of the stone is enough!
